ABOUT ME
Professional:
My name is Mitch Carr, and I am a versatile communicator with more than a decade of TV experience in both news and sports. Most recently I hosted Early Morning on the new cable news network NewsNation and co-hosted two hours of Morning in America. I have also worked as a news anchor in Phoenix, a sports anchor in Richmond, and a general assignment news reporter in North Carolina, Nevada, and Texas. I'm at my best when I'm being myself on camera, and I love the chance to be creative and have fun when it's appropriate.
Personal:
I am originally from Richmond, Va., and I attended the University of Miami on an academic scholarship. I finished at Miami with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish, and I can speak my second language with confidence. I played football and basketball in high school, and I am most knowledgeable about those two sports, but I enjoy pretty much any athletic competition. I have become a HUGE soccer fan in recent years, and my knowledge about the beautiful game is growing every day. Oh, and Come on, City!
